Like great cities everywhere, Boston is a city of great neighborhoods...
and a few restaurants are worth a special trip... There aren't
many places where you can get a grilled peanut butter and jelly
sandwich and a decent cup of expresso, except at Code 10, where
it pulls together great local items and drops them on square metal
tray lined with sandwich paper. Grilled Pearl brand hot dogs are
taut and explosive in split buttered buns; Code 10 offers everyone
a taste of something they love at this great, classic neighborhood
joint.

Code 10's dogs have an appealing crispness and wide variety
of unusual condiments, imported ketchups, smoky hot sauces and specialty
mustards.

In
a neighborhood where trendy, upscale dining is the norm, Code 10
gives South Enders a common ground for a quick bite at a cheap price.
The name comes from the police lingo for “lunch break”,
and the colorful café puts a gourmet spin on the all-American
meat in a bun. Their vast hot dog variety includes all-beef Pearl
Kountry Klubs, kosher Hebrew National, turkey dogs, chicken dogs,
and veggie dogs. They finish them with all the must-have toppings
like chili, sauerkraut, and onions. Plus, they offer a large variety
of hard-to-find mustards. To top it off, Code 10 dishes out Richardson’s
Ice Cream.
